Safari-Land is
located near Ooty, close to Masinagudi.
It is in the beautiful Nilgiris Biosphere, which is a
tri-junction of Mudumalai wild life sanctuary in Tamilnadu,
Bandipur in Karnataka and Wynaad Wild Life Sanctuary in Kerala
making it one of the largest forest tracts in India

Walk around in the beautiful lush green surroundings with chances of some spotted deer glances here and there. It gives a feeling of being in Gods own country!!! |

A two hour trekking program into
the forest with a guide (For the more energetic and adventurous). With one guide and one
escort, trek along the perimeter of the reserve, across rocky streams, hillocks,
gullies, bamboo thickets and scrub forest.

Drive through
the Wildlife reserve in Forest department vehicles over dirt tracks
and natural animal habitat.

Mudumalai wild life sanctuary is famous for its flora and fauna. The best possible way of observing wild life
is from elephant back .At Theppakadu, (Mudmalai wild life sanctuary) the forest department organizes
elephant rides and safari land has a tie up .Our valuable guests will be taken early morning and evening to
these elephant rides , by prior appointments only .

ARRIVE IN STYLE TO SAFARI LAND BY THE BLUE MOUNTAIN TRAIN
Blue Mountain Railways : Go for a trip on the
blue mountain steam train, which runs, between Mettupalayam and Ooty. The track
passes over 26 viaducts, 13 tunnels and numerous bends and tropical rain forest.
The viaduct between Kallar and Adderley is a photographer's delight. There are
good chances of encounters with elephants and tigers on this beautiful journey.

| The Bokkapuram famous tribal dancel: This
dance is a specialty of the tribals here who celebrate happy moments and
festivals with the beating of drums and dance to its tunes. This is a very
colorful and unique event and can be organized for guests on request. |

| Mudumalai wild life sanctuary: Mudumalai
is one of the most important wildlife sanctuaries in South India and is a part
of the greater Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.. The name Mudumalai means- ancient
hill range. Mudumalai is rich in flaura and fauna. It is home to the Asiatic
elephant, Tigers, leopards, giant squirrels, flying squirrels, bear, gaurs,
sambar, chital, barking deer, mouse deer and a variety of bird life include
racket-tailed drongo, black woodpecker, parakeets, barbets, mynas, cuckoos,
Malabar trogon, Malabar gray hornbill, crested hawk eagle, and crested serpent
eagle. There is an elephant camp within the sanctuary for viewing elephant
feeding program and their puja. The sanctuary provides morning an evening rides
into the forest. |

| Bandipur Project tiger reserve &
National Park: Just 20 mins drive from Safari Land is Bandipur
Sanctuary, the flagship of Karnataka’s most beautiful, and renowned teak forest
and a project tiger reserve, which has the added attraction of Elephant
safaris. |

| Gopalswamy betta: : An
hour’s drive from Safari Land is an old historic temple located at an elevated
location within the Bandipur tiger reserve. This is an ideal getaway for a day
with possibilities of good sighting of birds and wildlife. |
